What Kangaroo AI is

My co-founder Samarth Singh and I built Kangaroo AI at Antler VC, a founder residency program in Austin, Texas.

Samarth and I were interested in exploring multiplayer AI. The space was new in late September 2025, with few companies exploring it, and we landed on multiplayer AI inside iMessage.

Kangaroo was an AI agent that connected to your computer through an MCP and let you control it by texting an iMessage number from your iPhone. It managed your Google Calendar, read and sent emails, searched the web, and ran tasks on your machine.

Because it had access to your location, Kangaroo was about 7x faster at local recommendations than ChatGPT or Claude at the time. It would proactively reach out throughout your day to help before you asked.

We built this eight months before Openclaw.
